Can you pass a citizenship test?
Sean at http://www.whatseansaw.com gives us his whole-hearted opinion after taking the test:
I’m British, have lived here all my life, work for Her Britannic Majesty’s Government, I vote and consider myself to be more than a little politcally aware. I got six out of 15 so don’t feel too disheartend by this, belive me, this Government appears to have completely failed to grasp Britishness if these are the test questions.
What no-one tells you is that you can’t take a test to tell if you’re British. You either are or you aren’t and place of birth has nothing to do with it. Can you walk like us, talk like us and laugh like us, yes? Then I’d say welcome to the UK. Now that you’re British sit down and join us, we’re trying to judge everyone else in the entry queue behind you - that’s British for you.
